I have a question: Why do some devices, toys, etc. that come with a rechargeable battery say you should drain it all the way down periodically, while other batteries say never overcharge it or drain it completely? And is it bad to leave the devices plugged in all the time or should you unplug them when they’re fully charged? For example, is it bad to leave my laptop computer plugged in all the time and never let the battery go down? What about my phone? What about the little motorized toy car my kids have? They all seem to have different rules about how to charge and discharge the battery.
